Every time I see a bad movie I tell myself “this is it, can’t get any worse than that.” Every time I’m wrong. I’ll just say it right from the start in case you are wondering and haven’t realised it yet: this is gonna be a hell-of-a-bad review. It’s not that I just love discrediting movies (ok, maybe a little…), but I simply can’t help but ask myself “wtf are these people doing when making shit like that.” I wouldn’t say that this movie is entirely shit, but it’s getting dangerously close. Perhaps the problem was that I had not acquainted myself with the movie in advance. Yes, once again I made the grave mistake of setting foot inside the theater with expectations. I’d say I was definitely punished for that transgression. All I knew about the movie beforehand were three names: Russell Crowe, Ridley Scott, and Robin Hood. For what I remember, I enjoyed The Gladiator. Maybe because I was young and stupid, or maybe because it was simply a good movie, it makes no difference now I guess. So what I expected was the old story (about the guy stealing from the rich, giving to the poor, and pretending he doesn’t simply do it to get laid easier) remade by a wonderful director with a pretty decent cast and a nice budget that would allow for more thrilling action scenes and bla bla bla. You know, just a movie about Robin Hood that was better made. Here’s what I actually got…

There have been some changes to the Facebook layout recently…again. And, once again, they were primarily cosmetic and completely unnecessary. I will definitely not spend my time reviewing the social network as well as all its flaws and stupidities. After all, I don’t want to spend my lifetime bitching here in this article. Instead I’d like to be a picky jerk today and focus on one tiny insignificant detail that struck me, and that is the change in the “Add as a Friend” button design. If things go right, this will be my last exam session ever, and tomorrow’s exam will be the last one I ever take in my life. I’m probably supposed to celebrate the occasion by doing something spectacular. However, for the time being I crave for some completely normal things that I simply cannot do right now. Therefore, I am compiling a short list, more for myself than for others, of stuff I want to do after I’m a free man:
- Spend one night completely destroying myself with alcohol
- Burn (some of) my class notes
- Eat 4 cans of Heinz beans in tomato sauce in a row – done; not in a row, but I decided I love my stomach too much to lose it on something shitty like that.
- Work on my blog
- See Russell Crowe in yet another gladiator-like role – done; I’ll write about that horrible experience soon
- Spend a whole day doing absolutely nothing. At all – halfway done; there hasn’t been a day in which I didn’t go out for at least an hour, but I kind of don’t find the idea of staying in bed 24/7 that exciting anymore.
- Cook something fancy, difficult, and time-consuming
- Clean my room – done; it was the first thing I did after the exams, while I was still high on Red Bull
- Run in the gym until I pass out
